Inter Milan strike ace Samuel Eto’o has declared that there is no reason for them to fear AC Milan.

Milans new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic put his side among the favourites for both the Scudetto and Champions League, but Etoo is unconvinced.

Eto’o said: The only sides we fear in Europe are Real Madrid and Barcelona. They are the strongest and we proved that everything is possible. Nobody believed in us, but we defeated the titans of Europe and can also continue winning in Italy.

If we are to lift that silverware again, it means taking it one game at a time with one key concept: humility.

Everyone talks about Milan and Roma because of their new signings, but Inter have a great squad that can continue its success.

I respect everyone, but fear nobody. Fear does not exist for me in football.

He told lalaziosiamonoi.it: Lotito was very excited about hiring David, but said he wanted the OK from Reja. From then on, however I have not received the warmest response to this point.

Maybe we should ask the coach of Lazio, which has made an assessment of the player

Caliendo added: I have a clear relationship with Lotito and the economic problems have been put behind them. To come to Lazio there would be no difficulties of engagement. I repeat this is only a choice of a technical nature

Interesting news are out and it has been reported that Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson says Inter Milan have ended their pursuit of Javier Mascherano.

Argentine international midfielder Mascherano has declared that he wants out of Liverpool as his wife has failed to settle in England, and former Kop boss Rafa Benitez was keen to take him to Serie A.

Reports were also out that Inter Milan chief Benitez wanted to raid his old club for Dirk Kuyt yet now Hodgson has revealed the Italian giants president Massimo Moratti has told him they will not be trying to sign any Anfield stars.

The Reds chief claimed: I spoke to Moratti on Wednesday about the fact they are not going to buy Liverpool players, and Dirk comes into that category doesnt he?

Kuyts agent Rob Jansen is still claiming Inter want the Dutch striker, although Hodgson shot that down by insisting: It is just not true.

Tottenham are prepared to splash their Champions League cash on Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano if they see off Young Boys.

Spurs face the Swiss side tonight in the first leg of their play-off to reach Europes elite club competition. Qualification to the group stage would be worth at least 10 million and could set the wheels in motion for a bid for the Brazil World Cup 2010 star.

The 29-year-old had appeared close to a switch to Marseille, but the deal fell through at the weekend due to his 12.2m valuation. With the Spanish side already targeting FC Twente attacker Bryan Ruiz as Fabianos replacement, Spurs are expected to launch into action if they progress next Wednesday after the second meeting. (Goal.com)

First off, surely that valuation is a little on the short side. We may be talking about a 29 year old but Luis Fabiano is a striker in the peak of his form right now. A player who has scored 95 goals in the past five La Liga seasons and a player who can not stop scoring for his country to boot.

He is a player that Harry Redknapp has apparently been tracking for some time and this source suggests a bid is on the cards and as the White Hart Lane boss has not brought in any one as yet and is probably champing at the bit to get some new faces in before its too late.

However that being said, do the north London side really need strengthening? They have a great squad at present and have four quality strikers any more additions in this area would surely only occur if Robbie Keane or Roman Pavlyuchenko left the club.

Ferguson is looking for a long term replacement for his Dutch master and could opt to bring Russian to Old Trafford.

Manchester United are apparently considering a move for CSKA Moscow keeper Igor Akinfeev. The talented Russian international has long been considered a possible long term replacement for veteran Edwin van der Sar and Sir Alex Ferguson may well be leaning towards the possibility of making an offer for the 24 year old.

Speaking of the keeper last year the Old Trafford boss stated I have to say he is a fantastic goalkeeper.
He is athletic, with a powerful build, and his distribution his good. and as a result there was much speculation that a move could be made for the Moscow man but at the time Ferguson was quick to state he was happy with the options he had at the club.

Since then however, Ben Foster has been offloaded to St Andrews and clearly first choice van der Sar is not getting any younger and may well call it quits at the end of this season, by which time he will have turned 40.

Even though Akinfeev is just 24, a baby in goalkeeping years, he has amassed a great deal of experience at both club and international level. After eight seasons in the CSKA first team he may feel the time is right for a new challenge, not least because he has already the domestic league on three occasions as well as a UEFA Cup triumph back in 2005.

A move for the keeper would however not come cheap with some valuations believing he could cost as much as 12m, such is the standing of the highly rated keeper.

FC Schalke 04 finished second in the Bundesliga last season, but clearly have loftier ambitions for next season. Having already signed all-time leading Spanish goalscorer Raul, they are now seeking to sign his former club colleague at Real Madrid Robinho.

Robinho joined Manchester City in the last moments of the transfer window of summer 2008 for a British record transfer fee, and was an immediate hit. He scored on his debut against Chelsea, who he was widely expected to join that summer, and went on to score 14 goals in the Barclays Premier League finishing as fourth top scorer.

His second season did not go quite so smoothly. Out for three months due to injury, and seemingly unable to perform in away matches, he was farmed out on loan to Brazilian club Santos, where he joined fellow Seleo players Neymar and Ganso.

At the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, he played excellently. Robinho scored two goals and showed wonderful creativity as Brazil reached the quarter finals.

According to French sports newspaper LEquipe, the skilful Brazilian will move to Die Knigsblauen for a hefty fee of 25m, but that is still substantially less than the 32.5m that Manchester City paid for him on September 1st 2008.

Still, City are wealthy enough to take the hit, and given Robinhos hit and miss form in his second season, they might be prepared to listen to offers.

Transfer news from the Spanish league is out and it has been reported that Barcelona expect Manchester City to make an offer for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

According to Sport, Manchester City have not shelved the prospect of buying Ibrahimovic before the market shuts down in two weeks time.

Manchester City backed by billionaire Arab owners have the cash power to convince the Spanish champions to sell, but everything will depend on the English club finding buyers for their fringe players.

Roberto Mancinis side are currently struggling to whittle down their blown out squad to the required 25-man quota.

AC Milan also remain interested in Ibra, but do not have the finances to match City in any type of auction.
